Privacy and cookie policy

This notice explains how we process the personal data of people who visit www.dhlroma.it, contact us or ask us for a quote, in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003. The Italian version of this notice prevails in case of discrepancies.

AMG SRL runs the DHL Stores in Rome as an independent DHL partner. For shipments handed over to the courier, DHL processes data as an independent controller under its own privacy notice, available at dhl.com.
2. What data we process
Data you give us
- "Get a quote" form: name, phone, email and shipment details (type, origin, destination, parcels, weight, size, notes, pickup request).
- Direct contact: the data you share when you message us on WhatsApp, email or call us.
Please do not include unnecessary data in the notes, especially health data or other special categories of data.
Browsing data
The servers hosting the site automatically log some technical data (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser) to keep the site running and secure. This data is not used to identify you and is deleted periodically.

3. Why we process it and on what legal basis

Your contact details are needed to reply to you or send a quote: without them we cannot get back to you. We do not use your data for newsletters or advertising, and we make no automated decisions about you.
4. WhatsApp
If you contact us on WhatsApp, including through the "Send via WhatsApp" button on the form, the message goes through the service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta group), which processes data as an independent controller under its own policy (whatsapp.com/legal). The form sends nothing until you press "send" in the chat yourself. If you prefer, you can use email or phone instead.
5. Who we share data with
Data is processed by authorised and trained AMG SRL staff. It may be shared, only for the purposes above, with:
- suppliers acting as data processors (website hosting, email, IT support, accounting);
- DHL and other parties involved in the shipment, when you send something with us;
- public authorities, where required by law (for example customs);
- Google Ireland Limited, only if you have accepted statistics or marketing cookies.
Data is never published or sold.
6. Transfers outside the European Union
Google and WhatsApp/Meta may transfer data to the United States. These transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which these companies have joined, or on standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep data
- Enquiries and quotes not followed by a shipment: up to 12 months.
- Data related to completed shipments and tax documents: 10 years, as required by law.
- Browsing data: as long as needed for site security, normally no more than 12 months.
- Your cookie choice: 6 months, after which we ask again.
8. Cookies
Cookies are small files the site stores in your browser. On your first visit we show a banner where you can accept, reject or choose individual categories. Closing the banner with the "X" rejects all non-technical cookies. You can change your mind at any time with the button below or with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

Until you give consent, Google Tag Manager is not loaded and no Google cookies are set. We use Google Consent Mode to pass your choice to Google. To learn how Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
The site does not use external services for fonts or embedded maps: "Get directions" links open Google Maps only when you tap them.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
9. Your rights
You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its processing, receive it in a portable format, and object to processing based on legitimate interest (Articles 15–22 GDPR). You can withdraw cookie consent at any time, without affecting processing that has already taken place.
To exercise your rights, email [email protected]. We reply within one month.
If you believe the processing breaches data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority in your country of residence.

We may update this notice. The date of the latest change is shown at the top.
